With virus tests performed from the nasopharynx, you can identify the most common causes of respiratory infections, which include influenza A and B, Corona, and RS virus.

You can choose between an antigen virus test and a nucleic acid virus test. The nucleic acid test detects the virus’s genetic material and is highly sensitive, making it suitable for both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals. However, its drawback is a longer result time, usually 1–3 days. The antigen test, on the other hand, detects the virus’s surface proteins and works best for symptomatic individuals. Its advantage is speed, with results available in as little as 6 hours.
